A complex, cooperative strategy game where players act as elemental spirits defending their island home from invading colonizers. Unlike traditional games where players explore or colonize land, Spirit Island flips the script: players use elemental powers, fear tactics, and native Dahan villagers to destroy invader settlements before the island is corrupted. Spirit Island is renowned for its deep strategic variety and complete lack of random combat dice. Spirits are fully asymmetric: Ocean's Hungry Grasp drowns invaders near coasts, Vital Strength of the Earth protects land with solid defense, while Lightning's Swift Strike unleashes fast destructive powers. Plays 1 to 4 players in 90 to 120 minutes. It offers one of the most intellectually rewarding cooperative challenges in modern board gaming.
